Fragrance is the substance of memories. Smells get routed through your olfactory bulb, which is the smell-analyzing region in your brain. It’s closely connected to your amygdala and hippocampus, brain regions that handle memory and emotion
The hippocampus is responsible for the processing and storage of short-term memory. The amygdala is responsible for emotions, moods, and other functions related to depression and anxiety.
The only way to reach limbic system is through smell, which is why oils are such a great option for those with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Medications cannot reach the limbic system; therefore, they treat the symptoms of depression, anxiety, and panic attacks rather than treating the problem.

So, what I did was I went to basics, I made him a Young Living essential oils blend (that includes Lavender and Frankincense essential oils) that would calm him down whenever he gets anxiety attacks. I make him smell the essential oils blend, and apply it on his forehead, temples and nape.
At night, we diffuse Young Living Lavender and Cedarwood essential oils. And I would massage Panaway or Peppermint on his back.
So, there, this method allows me to reach his limbic system and treats the problem itself.
