Mango Float Recipe using M.Y. San Grahams

My siblings and I have always been looking forward to Christmas and New Year’s as those are the occassions when our mom would buy us ingredients to make mango float, except that we used to call it refrigerated cake back then and we’d use fruit cocktail for the toppings hehe.

 M.Y. San Grahams made it so special. It’s a staple dessert for the Yuletide season that we never fail to make each year.

Now that I am a mom, myself, I tried making one for my family. This time, though, I made sure that I use mango so I can really call it Mango float haha. Moreover, our family loves mangoes – our country’s got the best ones, I must say.

Preparation time is 20 minutes only, no need to bake.

Ingredients:
One 200g M.Y. San Honey Grahams
1 cup all-purpose cream
One 168ml condensed milk (approximately ¾ cup)
1 large ripe mango

Procedure:

  1. DO FILLING – In a bowl, combine chilled cream and condensed milk.
  2. LAYER – Layer M.Y. San Honey Grahams on the bottom of a square or rectangular pan. Pour cream, then followed by mangoes. Repeat process to make 2 or 3 layers, ending with the cream and top with mangoes.
  3. Chill and serve.

Feeling expert tip: Whip the chilled cream using a mixer or wire whisk to help the filling set foster and make it stable. Use smaller containers to make more floats.

It was sooo good! Satisfies sweet cravings, yet it’s not too sweet. It was gone in 5 minutes! Haha

This is something that I want to pass on to my kid – the love and our tradition of what we like to call refrigerated cake a.k.a. Mango float using M.Y. San Grahams.
