Who loves books? I can hear you say, “me! me! me!” hehe I am sure a lot of us do.

Oh wait. I didn’t like books when I was a kid. I only learned how to love them when I got in college. I should have read a lot of books earlier, but hey, better late than never. Now that I am a mom, I wanted to immerse Olivia into loving books. And I think, I’m doing a pretty good job hehe. She totally loves books! And I mean, TOTALLY! Make her choose between a toy and a book, and I guarantee you, she’ll choose the latter. I wanted her, to say the least, to learn, explore her imagination, broaden her language and knowledge through books.

Well, good thing that the Manila International Book Fair is just around the corner.

Manila International Book Fair is run by Primetrade Asia Inc. and this year will be MIBF’s 38th year. This year’s fair is slated from September 13-17, 2017. The said fair is one of the biggest and longest running fairs in the country with a total of 120,000 visitors in its five day run. Can you just imagine a book fair that occupies two floors of SMX Convention Center Manila? Ecstatic isn’t it?

Aside from books sale, there’ll also be author meet and greet, and book signing. To top it off, Primetrade Asia will be launching Little Miss Princess Pageant this year which will be one of the major highlights of the children’s section in the Book Fair. It will be held on September 16, 2017 at the Stage Area of Function Room 1. The said Pageant aims for the MIBF to be a venue of learning through different media specifically on books and related materials. They see the pageant as a medium to engage and encourage kids to read and learn more since the event will give young girls the opportunity to become the princesses whom they admire from books and related materials. The Pageant will be open to girls ages 5-12 years old.

What are you waiting for? Register now and make your little girl’s dream come true. This could jump start your kid’s dream of becoming the next Pia Wurtzbach. Oh, I wish Olivia can join. Maybe 4 years from now hehe. For the meantime, we are yet to enjoy tons and tons of books at the fair. See you there 🙂
